Worship at First Methodist

Worshipping God is the most important thing we do at First Methodist!   Our sanctuary with its beautiful stained glass windows, the blessing of music, the new families within our church, as well as the families that have been a part of our church for generations are all a part of the rich heritage we bring to our worship on Sundays.   In our worship experience, we try to find meaningful and exciting ways to help you connect with God through preaching, music, Scripture and the sacraments.   It is our heart that our time together in God’s presence will renew your spirit, encourage your heart, and open in you a wellspring of blessings that will strengthen and sustain you in the week ahead.

Sundays at 8:30 a.m. we gather in the sanctuary for a service filled with special music and sharing.  This is the smaller of our two services, and tends to be a little more informal as we share in God’s word.

Our largest Sunday service is the 11 a.m. worship.  The Sanctuary Choir leads us in beautiful music throughout the year. We all share in the inspired word of God and warm fellowship.

Every Sunday at 9:45 a.m. we have Sunday School for all ages.  We have a wonderful nursery, classes for children and youth, as well as very good adult Bible study classes.  It’s a great time to grow in faith together!

We celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion on the first  Sunday of each month.  As United Methodists, we believe in an open table where all Christians, as the family of God, are invited to come share in God’s gift of grace offered through Christ.
